      Scoring

      The Scoring Dashboard provides an in-depth overview of an Institution's strengths and potential vulnerabilities across CAMELS+ components. The dashboard highlights level and trend across CAMELS+ components as well as comparability to median groups.

      Scoring Overview

      • The Scoring Overview Page houses Current Scoring, Historical Scoring & Comparative Scoring details.

      The Scoring Overview page will default to Step 1 of Section 1. Clicking "Launch Page" will take you to the Current Scoring Results:

      • This section highlights the current quarter results for an institution across CAMELS+ components. The weighted score is derived from taking the individual ratio/concentration results for a given component and multiplying those by individual risk weightings to create an overall weighted score. Risk weightings that are associated with each ratio/concentration are determined by FinPro alongside our ex-regulators on a quarterly basis, taking into account regional and overall industry performance.  The worst score highlights the elevated individual ratio/concentration score within each CAMELS+ component. Weighted and worst scores will be highlighted in green, yellow, or red, signifying areas of possible risk within each component.  

      Step 2 will bring you to the Detailed Scoring Summary:

      Step 3 will bring you to the Detailed Scoring Report page:

      Using the drop down, you can add or remove the CAMELS+ Components you would like to view in the report:

      Step 1 of Section 2 will bring you to the Detailed Historical Scoring Report:

      Use the drop downs to switch between Comparable Groups as well as adding or removing the CAMELS+ Components you would like to view.

      • This section displays the level and trend by ratio/concentration within each CAMELS+ component. The user is able to develop a clear understanding of how an institution or comparable group has performed over a five-quarter historical time horizon. Using the drop downs, users can toggle between CAMELS+ components and which group to view. 

      Step 1 of Section 3 will bring you to the Detailed Comparative Scoring Report:

      Using the drop down, add or remove the CAMELS+ Components you would like to view:

      • This section displays the current quarter comparability between the institution and selected median groups. Using the drop down, users can toggle between CAMELS+ Components. 

      Step 2 will bring you to the Detailed FDIC Regional Scoring Report:

      Using the drop down, add or remove the CAMELS+ Components you would like to view:

      • This section displays the industry's current quarter's comparability, comparing the national median to each FDIC region median group.  Using the drop down, users can toggle between CAMELS+ Components.

      Step 3 will bring you to Individual Ratios:

      • Use the drop down to select specific ratios/concentrations across CAMELS+ components. The Tangible Equity/Tangible Assets chart will give you a historical view for the chosen ratio/concentration. The Comparable Ranking Results table will allow you to see the ranking/comparability of the institution to numerous median groups.
